Effect of zinc oxide nanoparticles incorporated into tissue conditioner on antifungal, physical, and mechanical properties

This study evaluated the antifungal, physical, and mechanical properties of tissue conditioner incorporated with different amounts zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnOnps) at storage times (0, 7, 14 days). Specimens 0, 5, 10, 15 wt% ZnOnps, or nystatin into were fabricated (control, 5Zn, 10Zn, 15Zn, Nys). The direct contact test (n=6) was performed to evaluate antifungal effect against C. albicans suspension. penetration depth tensile bond strength (n=8) following ISO 13139. 15Zn significantly reduced cell number compared control all (p 0.05). In conclusion, provides up days without adverse effects on strength.
